This is a short post linking to David Kearns’ blog on the early origins of online newspapers in 1981. David highlights the fact that back in 1981, almost 30 years ago, the notion that you could turn on your computer and read your favourite daily newspaper was in fact a crazy idea. A wacky little pipedream perhaps but lo and behold it has become a reality today. David outlines the fact that even today most people consider online newspapers the future rather than the norm however this is a shifting boundary in my view where the online newspaper is increasingly becoming the norm rather than the future.
